#3 West Texas A&M Lady Buffs defeated the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds in both games in their Friday doubleheader.

#25 West Texas A&M Buffs defeated the St. Mary’s Rattlers by a score of 18-13 on Friday.

PORTALES, N.M. – Strong hitting from the West Texas A&M softball team powered the Lady Buffs to a doubleheader sweep over rival Eastern New Mexico on Friday. The Lady Buffs pulled away late in game one for a 7-2 victory before slugging their way to a 14-1 run-rule victory over the Greyhounds.

The #25 Buffaloes of West Texas A&M ran their win streak to 10 games on Friday night as they picked up a wild 18-13 Lone Star Conference victory over the St. Mary’s Rattlers at Wilder Park in Canyon.

The Buffs and Lady Buffs started off the weekend in style with three new school records along with a meet record on Thursday. The WT track and field program was spread out between two meets in Austin, Texas and Raleigh, North Carolina.

The West Texas A&M University Choirs and Symphony Orchestra will jointly perform under the direction of Dr. Sean Pullen on April 6 in Mary Moody Northern Recital Hall at 2:30 p.m.
