Over the last three days, we pushed through some serious hours to start this deeply personal full sleeve. This piece is a dedication to the mental health battles both my client and his mother have fought.
The imagery tells it all: a figure fighting its way out of the dark cracks of life, surrounded by the haunting faces of internal demons. But his hand is reaching upward toward a rose—a symbol for his mom. It represents that breakthrough moment of empathy, where he finally understood her pain and what she went through with her own mental health.
Creating this was an incredibly moving experience, and I think it’s a story a lot of us can relate to. Thank you for looking, and thank you to my client for the incredible dedication and trust.
Big thank you to @artrealmtattoo for holding space and allowing me to guest spot! 🙏🏼😌
