West Texas A&M’s Emma Becker finished the afternoon with 21 kills and 13 digs as the double-double led the #14 Lady Buffs to a four-set Lone Star Conference win over the Pioneers of Texas Woman’s (23-25, 25-15, 25-16, 24-12) at the WTAMU Fieldhouse “The Box” in Canyon.

The Rattlers of St. Mary’s scored a pair of goals in the last 90 seconds of play on Thursday night to claim a 3-1 Lone Star Conference victory over the Lady Buffs in front of almost 800 fans on Community Night at Happy State Bank Field in Canyon.

The Buffaloes had their chances on Wednesday afternoon but couldn’t find the back of the net as they battled the Dustdevils of Texas A&M International to a scoreless draw in the Lone Star Conference opener at The Pitch in Canyon.

A perfect 10-10 in district matches, the first time Canyon has hit that mark since 2020.
