WT Volleyball Shuts Out Midwestern State on Friday Night, 3-0

WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The No. 14 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M remain undefeated in Lone Star Conference play with their fifth straight sweep after defeating Midwestern State on Friday night at the D.L. Ligon Coliseum in Wichita Falls.

By the Numbers
In the victory, the Lady Buffs tallied 38 kills on 131 attempts with 17 errors to hit .160 to go along with 37 assists, 56 digs, seven blocks, and matched a season-high eight service aces.  The Mustangs hit .119 with 41 kills on 1334 attempts with 25 errors while totaling 68 digs, 40 assists, four blocks and one ace. 
 
Torrey Miller had 11 kills on the night to lead the offense on 34 attempts with seven errors to hit .118 while Kayla Elliott hit .304 with eight kills. Blair Moreland paced the Lady Buffs with 17 kills followed by Ainsley Malis with 14. Emma Patterson picked up 20 digs and Miller had a match-high three blocks
 
Kelli Ell hit .240 to lead MSU with 11 kills on 25 swings with five errors while Regan Willms and Autumn Roach each were credited with 18 assists.  On defense, Taygon Jones had a match-high 24 digs while Ell and Alex Serna had two blocks each.
